Susanne O’Shaughnessy
Activities Co-Ordinator
Susanne O’Shaughnessy joined Bishopscourt as an Activities Co-Ordinator in October 2009. An artist and art teacher she uses her creativity and imagination every day to provide a very interesting and satisfying activities programme for all our residents.
Susanne’s vision when she joined the team at Bishopscourt was to have a wide range of activities that the residents could chose to include in their daily routine and to create a buzz around the nursing home and the sound of laughter.
Susanne participates regularly in training courses to evolve and improve her position as Activities Co-Ordinator. Susanne has developed different activity programmes to compliment and help many of the issues associated aging.
Susanne consults regularly with the residents to include them in the decision making of what activities they would like to try and to help change and improve the activities on offer.
Susann works with two staff members and ten volunteers whose sole purpose is to provide a person–centred entertainment and activities for our residents in a fun, professional and caring way.
