The Nursing Home Ireland Care Awards ( www.nhicareawrds.ie ) commenced in 2010 and were setup to recognise the achievements in the nursing home industry of Nursing Homes, employees and residents alike. The awards are due to take place in the City West Hotel on 10th November 2011. Bishopscourt Residential Care are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2011 awards. The categories we have been shortlisted in are as follows:
The NHI Director of Nursing/Person in Charge Award
This award is for the Directors of Nursing employed in an NHI registered nursing home. The award is established to celebrate excellence in management and leadership in nursing homes.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate how their work as a Director of Nursing/Person in Charge (over and above what would normally be expected of the role) contributes to care excellence and how the work has a demonstrable benefit in achieving a culture of person-centeredness in the nursing home, i.e. a culture that demonstrates a commitment to the enhancement of services that respect the beliefs, values, needs, desires, hopes and dreams of residents and staff.
